I will be starting the new 2007 year looking for a job that I can make enough to truly support myself. I am really excited to begin this part of the journey
I call my life. I will be leaving alot behind but I know I have a lot to gain and there will be a lot to look forward to! (I HAVE STARTED WORKING TWO FAMILIES AS A NANNY, AS WELL AS WORKING ON MY CERTIFICATION TO BECOME A POSTPARTUM DOULA. I HOPE TO EVENTUALLY GET CERTIFIED AS AN ANTEPARTUM AND LABOR DOULA AS WELL, AND IF IT GOES WELL, PERHAPS EVENTUALLY A LACTATION OR CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR... WE WILL SEE WHERE THE ROAD TAKES ME, BUT SO FAR I HAVE JUST COMPLETED MY FIRST TWO DOULA EXPERIENCES AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. AFTER YEARS OF WORKING IN PRESCHOOL AND TRYING TO GET A JOB WORKING WITH INFANTS I AM FINALLY DOING IT! I THINK THIS IS RIGHT WHERE I WAS MEANT TO BE AND IT IS AMAZING TO BE ABLE TO SPEND MY TIME DOING WHAT I LOVE)

I love learning new things and growing throughout the process of life. I am and always will be a work in progress, never through till the end.

I love seafood, including Sushi, and I love walking, riding my bike, spending time with friends and family and their children, camping, swimming, snowboarding, bowling, pool, windsurfing (even though I can't control the damn thing it's sure fun trying!), canoeing, rafting, sailing, orienteering, karaoke and live music, I love almost every kind of food and love to go out and try new things. There are very few things I am resistant to but I must admit I am also very picky when it comes to some things. I know what I like. I don't drink coffee (and when i do I regret it since it makes me sick to my stomach so please don't tempt me I do like it, it's just not a good idea!) and I hate(such a strong word) Pepsi and Coke and kethcup and you wont change my mind or my taste buds so don't bother trying. I try some every now and then and every time i confirm my stance on the matter! I like my pizza minus all the sauce and will only eat tomato sauce on spaghetti if there is ranch nearby! mmm Ranch!!! Yes ranch really is good on everything from sandwiches to salads to steak! Whoever came up with barbecue sauce really missed the mark(And no that doesn't mean you can't eat all of the above, just don't try to feed them to me because I am really easygoing and will eat them quite a few times before I will say anything-silently cringing and eating a good meal beforehand ;o) )

I have been called shy by people who do not know me but I am not shy. I like to watch people and see what they are like. But I am not afraid to interact with people, just picky about who I choose to talk to. My friends would never consider me shy.

I love kids and animals. Though I like to work out I prefer walking in the neighborhood or on the waterfront or riding my bike around those areas and exploring my surroundings, over riding a bike shut up in a gym. I like hot tubs and pools but would pick a lake, creek, or waterfall first if it wasn't too cold (well OK I've walked through the falls in the cold rain before it really is a lot of fun!!!)

I like hiking and really long fast paced walks. I sometimes prefer walking alone to walking at a snails pace!!!

I like to watch movies and T.V. at times but I work all week so I don't let those things to consume my entire weekend. When I am on my own I usually only watch T.V. when I am falling asleep.

All in all I like to have fun and really am pretty laid back and easy going. If a friend has an idea of something and thinks it sounds fun I am usually willing to try it out. I don't have a mean bone in my body, although I am human and do get frustrated at times, usually when I say "no" or say something that would be considered mean I am joking and smiling. It takes a lot to make me mad.

FIRST OFF I KNOW THIS WONT WEED OUT ALL THE MESSAGES I GET, BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE DON'T BOTHER TO READ WHAT I HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN, BUT I DIDN'T CREATE THIS PAGE FOR THE MEN OF THE WORLD AND I AM NOT HERE TO FULFILL YOUR DREAMS, AM NOT INTERESTED IN HEARING HOW SEXY I AM, AND AM NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN TALKING TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T SHARE MY VALUES AND INTERESTS. I have never spent time looking for love, I know when the time is right, and the person is right, things will fall into place, I will feel happy, and I will know that is right where I am supposed to be. Time is the only thing that will make me trust someone enough to believe I love them with all my heart.

If I were to describe the person there not much I can say because most of the details can be any variety and range as long as the person treats me well, respects me, we have fun together, and they can communicate well so that we can not only have fun and entertaining conversations but also have conversations about important things without butting heads or taking cheap shots at eachother insecurities to get our points across. I want to spent my time with friends that are loving and caring, respect diversity, are intelligent, and see all the world has to offer and want to sieze it, so it makes sense that I would want the same from a man. Ideally he will be Jewish, or take an interest in Judaism, if things are to last, because I want to have children some day and I want to raise them with a strong Jewish identity and have a loving Jewish family. I don't want them to have the confusion or feel like they are bouncing between religions or like they have to choose for themselves. They will always have the option to follow their hearts when they become adults, and learn about the world and make decisions that are right for them, but I want them to have a strong foundation to stand on. Thats important to me.

I would like to meet people who like to be active and go out and do fun things, mostly outdoors. I am not comptetitive or an expert at anything really but I can have fun doing almost anything as long as the people around me have a good attitude and are willing to take a risk and try something new even if it means not knowing if it will be fun in the end!

I should probably add that I do not tolerate any type of violence, arrogance, or hate whether it be towards your partner, children, family, friends, worst enemies, innocent strangers, and the nature of my values and my work does not allow me to be a silent witness to this sort of thing. If you are prone to this type of behavior I suggest you seek out a reputable support group and get the situation under control before you consider e-mailing me.

I love the outdoors, camping, walking, riding my bike, being in or near the water. I love physically exhausting yardwork jobs like sawing branches off trees. I don't love working on cars but I am smart enough to handle it. I am not a grease monkey I usually come out of the job pretty clean but I am not afraid to get a little dirty or work hard. I love to make things like candles, stained glass, henna tattoos ETC. I love doing just about anything. I don't like doing things that I think are fun with someone who makes them too competitve or serious, or with someone who refuses to let themselves enjoy the moment, thats just no fun. It is very rare that I would opt to spend my day sitting around, even if the alternative is going to some free educational-ish community event that my dad heard about I am usually up for anything.
