About Me
I was born 10 weeks prematurely and have a couple of medical problems. Most importantly, when I was 13, I found out I have a genetic condition known as Basal Cell Carcinoma Nevus Syndrome, or BCCNS, or Gorlin Syndrome. Basically, I can't go out in the light or be exposed to UV or I can get basal cell skin cancers that have to be surgically removed. However, I am happy and outgoing and social. I enjoy movies, karaoke, bowling, sporting events, dancing, eating, and staying up late. I also like to travel whenever possible. I love my dog, Cookie Dough and my other animals. I am majoring in Computer Science with a minor in mathematics. Unfortunately, on graduation day, May 20, 2007, my adopted sister was in a serious atv accident. I miss my CO dog Murphie. Unfortunately, she had cancer on her heart and I did not want her to suffer anymore, so we put her to sleep the other day. Home to me is not just in KS. Home is where the heart is....To me home is in CO and FL too. My job entails going to events, translating things, fixing computer/technology problems, grading tests/papers, etc. As of Thursday, September 20th in the late afternoon, I got the good news of being out of my other job contract and with being out of contract getting my degree. I started crying immediately when I read the first word of the message being "Congratulations" and really haven't stopped since....All that hard work can pay off....
