I grew up in Northwest Detroit and completed my B.A. at Wayne State, publishing
articles about music and film in the South End and Peter Werbe's paper, The Fifth
Estate. I was a songwriter at that time and moved to L.A. to write song adaptations for Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 and other writers under contract to him at that time.
In addition, I finished my M.A. in Literature at UCLA. During that time I also
taught sewing at a Jewish Residential Treatment Center. I also taught Job Search
Skills to adults, and high school French and Spanish.

I enjoy musical events and lectures. I love to go to concerts in Farmington Hills on
Thursday and Friday nights. I enjoy estate sales and look for rare books. Finding
a first edition is a treat.
