About Me
I'm a fairly unique fellow. Inspiring, classic, and original are some of the words my friends might use to describe me. I am a late deafened adult -- I lost my hearing approximately five years ago; however it does not seem to have stopped my curiosity, fascination or optimism about being alive. I'm fortunate to have had an excellent, somewhat outside the box education that has helped me tremendously with my perspective and has taught me myriad lessons . An acquaintance I recently met on the plane said something to me that I think is obvious (although clearly not a societal priority) but very profound: she said to me: "the most valuable thing we have is our humanity". I tend to be an idealist; and can get quite heady about human potential so to have a conversation like that with so much faith and optimism about with what we can do, and become was a wonderful salve.
I don't want to give you a false impression as I am every bit as playful , silly and above all, comical about life and humanity in my perspective regarding our foibles and my foibles in particular. If you can't laugh at yourself see the absurdity, randomness and the ironic in life, well then, life and that includes my own could easily be overwhelming. I'm thankful for my ability to find humor when I need it and see the positive in the challenging.
Last but certainly not least I am absolutely insanely attracted to and humbly yet madly in love with my kind of woman-and have love for all women (for all humans for that matter -- although at times that is not easy) --in peace, kindness, and laughter. -- Eric
