I live with my favorite lady, Greta, a small outdoor enthusiast who enjoy short walks anywhere, anytime, regardless of weather. We enjoy meeting new people, particularly when accompanied by canine companions. I am an avid reader and researcher on several topics, a Grateful Dead aficionado, and have closer relationships with my two adult children than ever before, now that I have one grandson from each. I completed a Ph.D. a few months ago and am still trying to find myself. I can find the humor in any situation, and enjoy a good intellectual discussion about most anything. I enjoy building and fixing things, particularly computers and woodworking projects. I rarely circumvent obstacles of a challenging nature. I chose to return to academia a few years back to learn to be as effective as possible in any situation. That may not have been the best idea . . .

I think I seek someone who can cope a wry sense of humor, is academically accomplished, quick on the uptake, self-confident yet vulnerable, self-aware yet innocent, competent but a lifelong learner, negotiable but opinionated, honest and sincere yet dramatic and comforting when needed, understands rationality even if she avoids it, needs her space but wants to share, who needs me as I need her, challenging yet adaptable, high maintenance but expects reciprocity. That being said, I am open to explore life with someone willing to take the same emotional risks. You should definitely contact me if you feel you can be my intellectual equal or better to balance my inclination to take on too many obligations. Oh, I keep kosher but mostly eat vegetarian/vegan for several reasons.
