As of today, Friday, August 16, 2019, I'm out of my former relationship. In an effort to move forward and not look back, I joined this site. I checked out JDATE, but this site seems to have more people. I'm extremely outgoing. Presently, I'm just looking to make new friends and see if I can even enjoy the dating process again. Not wanting to do exactly what I'm doing now has kept me in a less than perfect relationship for far too long. As my girlfriend said to me today, "Remember, you are not on clearance." Her words made me stop and think about my relationship and decide that enough was enough. No turning back now!

About me: I'm extremely optimistic often to my detriment, very outgoing, "a stand out in the crowd" kind of person, bubbly, fun-loving, sincere, family oriented, loving, funny, loyal, the ultimate caregiver, and easygoing. I love theme parks, festivals, concerts, flea markets, bargain shopping, beaches, reading, children, Fantasy Fest in Keywest, romantic movies, watchinng YOUTUBE videos, photography, Seinfield, Game of Thrones, America's got Talent, magic shows, documentaries, reading about and trying to understand "The Holocaust", reading about NDE's and psychic phenomenon, reading self-help books-especially about nutrition, medical breakthroughs and longevity, writing, researching, working out, bike riding, all animals (I have two Yorkies and a Maltese- all three sleep in my bed!)), walking on Lincoln Road and Miami Beach, long walks anywhere, teaching (I'm a special needs reading teacher and head of the Elementary division of my school- been there 35 years). I'm a creature of habit which is why I have been in an often unsatisfying relationship for over 30 years.I divorced about 5 years ago, but never fully cut the ties. I finally did so,tonight! Joining this site is my first step in the right direction and a bold one for me! I know that there is someone out there with whom I can enjoy the rest of my life. I figure in the 60-65 year old market, I'm quite the commodity and definitely not on clearance! I don't look my age and could lie, but I don't think that is the way to start a relationship- (contrary to what my co-workers told me!) All photos were taken within the last two weeks. Prior to meeting in person, I prefer to Facetime or video chat, just to keep things honest! I have been told that many people post photos that are less than truthful. I don't drink or smoke and love to use "buy one get one free" coupons when eating out! I have a Regal movie pass so I'm a cheap movie date! I hate buying anything retail! I'm an all or nothing kind of person in everything I do. In most areas of my life, I live from one extreme to another. I have very high standards for myself in whatever I do. That is why it is so strange that I have stayed in a less than perfect relationship for so long...I guess that takes me back to eternal optimist, ultimate caregiver, and creature of habit.

I'm looking for movie buddies (Remember, I have a Regal Pass!) I'd love to find my true soulmate and live happily ever after, but I'd settle for a movie buddy at the moment! I don't think marriage is necessary at this stage in life. I'd like to know that the person with me is not there because a legal document binds us, but because he truly cares for me.
