U. OF Michigan graduate. Completed Pre-Med. course. Enlisted US Navy. Called to active duty. WWII. Trained as Medic with 2nd. Marines. Promoted to Ensign was reassigned to Michigan Medical School. Bleeding stomach ulcer acquired in service compelled my eventual withdrawal from medical career. Unable to pursue pediatrics. I entered the family retail business 1947, which my late father founded in 1919. I had to learn buying skills. In 1955 I became CEO of corporation, a position I held until 1991 at which time my oldest son succeeded me as President. I have remained in the business as Secretary and advisor. I suffered the loss of my first wife at age 39. She was a talented CPA who left me with 4 young children ages 7 to 15. Shortly after this tragic loss I was compelled to have surgery at Mayo Clinic to remove any further stomach disease. I had a second marriage at age 40, which lasted 29 years until a fatal stroke ended in her death in 1997. Both of my wives were Jewish girls from Pittsburgh. They were angels whose memories I treasure. Both were college graduates, wonderful in so many ways. My mother was an accomplished pianist who studied in NYC. I grew up with two pianos in our home. I was the oldest of 3 children all of us loved music. In military academy I had an orchestra. My brother Richard is a retired attorney who lives in Haifa. My baby sister is still a practicing prominent psychologist. As a singer during her college years she enjoyed working two summers at a musical camp with Marvin Hamlish before he acquired fame. I love to DANCE and am very active physically, walking 4 miles daily to work out. I love warm weather, occasional golf, tennis and swimming. I enjoy musical theater, plays, dining out or at home. I like only good movies that are now few. I played duplicate bridge, as my second wife was a LIFE MASTER. I seek a long-term relationship and NOT marriage with someone ages 65 to 70.who enjoys being active. On TV I watch business news, musical programs and history channels. I would like to exchange e-mail addresses and photos to become better acquainted
