I'm a family-and-friends-oriented, never-married attorney. I spend most of my time working, and my spare time is divided among exercise, hanging out with friends, spoiling my nephew, going to movies, and watching TV (a true child of the '80s). I have had little luck finding a successful relationship since I moved back to Pittsburgh to start my career a few years ago.

There is ample room in my life for someone else. I have found work, bars, and even local "Jewish Singles" events unavailing. So here I am, trying something new. Nothing would make me happier than finding someone with whom to share my life and my trust.

I'm not "religious" (i.e., I rarely attend services, don't keep kosher, etc.) but being Jewish is important to me and to my family as a matter of identity. This is particularly true because I hope to have (and to raise) children someday (no hurry, but it'd be nice!).

I can be argumentative (professional hazard) and sarcastic, but I am receptive to criticism (I have learned to admit when I'm wrong) and -- above all -- I am trustworthy. I have always been faithful to my family, friends, and to everyone I've ever dated. I don't have the emotional capacity (or the organizational skills) to date more than one person at a time or to cheat. In this fashion, what you see is what you get.

I'd like to meet a professional (or simply educated, regardless of career choice) Jewish woman who is independent, attractive, self-confident, and who prizes fun and happiness. I'm also attracted to people who enjoy exercise, as I do.

Yes, I believe it's necessary for two people to be physically attracted to each other for a relationship to develop and to last. It's by no means the only important factor, but sex is good (understatement?), it's a wonderful part of a relationship, and good sexual chemistry simply matters.

I don't care what her politics are, but it's important to me that someone take an interest in what's happening in the world and that she have opinions of her own. I have been frustrated trying to sustain dates with women who either don't care about world events or who don't care enough to think about the opinions they espouse. Even if we disagree, I'll respect you (and find you interesting) if you have thoughtfully held views.

While an interest in movies, music, and theater are a plus, I also think it's nice to be able to stay home together sometimes and do little other than cook (I volunteer), lay around, and laugh about things that nobody else would understand.
