About Me
"Love is friendship on fire." (I LOVE that quote! But I can't remember where I heard it.) I'm looking for my best friend and partner in life! My friends call me Pantene Girl because I have great hair, but there's much more to me than just great hair! I'm an attractive brunette w/water-blue eyes, a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh & a rubenesque body type. I live in NYC & graduated NYU, & work in the entertainment/PR industry. I'm playful, affectionate, charming, creative, loyal, honest, & love good conversation. Playing tennis, archery (don't do much of that in the city!), canoeing/sailing or enjoying the fun in & around NYC (B'way, museums, Lincoln Center, street fairs, Central Park Zoo, etc.), including lazy Sundays in the city, are some of my favorite activities. Learning to play golf & ballroom dance are on my list of things to do, & I love to work w/arts & crafts & travel when I have the chance. I enjoy reading. I don't play games (I don't have the time) & I'm as comfortable at black tie events or at dinner for two (or ten!) as at staying home on a Saturday night cuddled up with a movie. I like spending time with friends, but as an only child, I learned to be independent & enjoy my time alone, too. During some summer weekends, I go to my parents' house on the East End & take in a relaxing weekend away from the city.

An ideal relationship....An ideal relationship consists of two people who communicate, listen to and understand each other. They know each other so well that, at times, no words are needed. They are also the best of friends and lovers and see and support each other through all things - good and bad. In addition, I would hope that we could learn from one another and continuously teach each other new things over the years.

The perfect first date....The perfect first date for me would be something casual but fun. Let's start with coffee and if things go really well, we can move on to dinner or something spontaneous...maybe an Italian or Japanese restaurant or a pop-culture exhibit at a museum or dancing. There are so many things to do in New York City that choosing just one is hard! PS - I'm also a firm believer in chemistry. Hopefully, it's there from the start!

Learned from past relationships...Communication is essential. My grandmother always told me "never go to bed angry. It's bad for your complexion!" And it's ok not to spend every waking moment together. We should have time for each other, ourselves and our friends.

Who I'm looking for
Here's what I'm looking for in a friend and a partner someone who is as outgoing, successful, confident, caring, sincere, generous, hard-working, dependable and family-oriented as I am. I'm also interested in meeting someone who is 46-55, handsome (or cute), cool under pressure, lives in the NYC area (DC, CT, NJ, MA, PA ok, too), is not into the club/bar scene, likes quiet weekends away or in NYC, likes to watch and play (most) sports (not a requirement), is socially comfortable when meeting new people (I'm on the phone most of my day with people I never meet but can have a nice conversation with nonetheless), likes Lite FM and Top 40 (for example: Alicia Keys, Billy Joel and The Eagles!), has a great sense of style and humor, too, and most important, doesn't mind being friends first. (I think it's really important to be able to trust and care for each other as well as enjoy each other's company and that seems only to come through friendship) PS - I was a Camp Somerset (Oakland, Maine) girl. Were you perhaps a Camp Cobbossee, Manitou, Takajo, Androscoggin, Caribou boy? If so, maybe we've got something else in common! Turnoffs: Bald heads, long hair, tattoos, body piercings, drugs, smokers. But a college degree is a MUST!
