I have spent a little time exploring the cultural and natural curiosities of South Florida: the regional theatre, the local museums, small, quiet coffee shops and coffee houses. I like poetry readings and open mike nights (when I can find one). I can be a charming and interesting companion.
I have found myself walking in the afternoon showers here and enjoying the warm rain on my face. I used to dash for a cab. I write with fountain pens and quills when I am not typing on the computer, although my handwriting is atrocious. I wander through used bookstores and antique shops for entertainment. I am a street festival addict.... Rarely buy anything.... I already have too much stuff... The stereo is always on at home and in the car. Singing along, I get odd looks from other drivers.... I enjoy large gatherings and intimate tete-a-tetes. I am at home in dress-up duds or jeans. I can sit through an opera, but I get up and dance at rock concerts. I travel well,. I have been to nearly all the available continents and most of the states. Dining out is fun, but I can cook. I still like amusement parks. I hope I never outgrow my sense of wonder.
I laugh easily, even in public. I give affection freely. Accepting it is sometimes more difficult. I keep few secrets: I am easily read.
was raised to be a gentleman. I rise when a lady enters the room, help her with her jacket, pull out her chair and open doors. I even walk on the street side of the sidewalk.
I am a good guy and a good friend. I love my kids (2, one of each) and my grandchild (yes, only one so far, two more on the way this summer) but I am grateful they live up north.... most of the time. Now if I could just figure out what kind of furniture fits my personality.....
