I am easy-going, easy-to-like, usually quiet, and independent, with many likes and interests. I enjoy learning (especially computer programs) and teaching (I teach Hebrew and tutor bar/bat mitzvah students). I enjoy my volunteer work with Hadassah and my connections to Israel, where most of my family lives. I like to read, play computer games on line, chat with my family on line and by telephone, do Sudoku and crossword puzzles, listen to music (my favorites are rock & roll from the 60s & 70s and Israeli classics), watch movies (in theaters and on TV), and attend Broadway-type plays(especially musicals).

I enjoy a good discussion and am prone to arguing for what I feel is right. I listen and watch Fox news, and especially like Sean Hannity (in my opinion, he is the most honest, open-minded newscaster out there today.) I prefer to spend time at home or with 1 or 2 close friends than partying with lots of people. I love spending time with my son. I am basically secular, and while I have studied some Bible/Torah, it's Jewish and Israeli history that I'm most interested in. I have strong ties to Israel, which is my biggest connection to Judaism. After moving to Israel with my family (my dad got a job there while I was in college, and moved my mom, sister, brothers and me there), I attended several kibbutz ulpans to learn Hebrew and get accustomed to Israeli culture, and then attended Hebrew University, but returned to the US after four years, where I finished college, graduated, got married, got divorced, raised my son, and lived happily on my own for a few years, until this past May, when my son moved back home after graduating from college (until he finds a job in his chosen field and can afford to get his own place.)

I've worked as an executive assistant for the same health system for 13 years (10 for the president of the physician practice group, and the last 3 for the CEO of the hospital), and am now looking to change careers to better put to use the skills I've acquired over the years working at the hospital and through my volunteer work for Hadassah, where I currently serve on our region executive board as a communications coordinator (I help chapters with their websites, bulletins, publicity, etc.)

I've dated some over the years since my divorce, but not much. I'm just now finding the time, and interest, to start dating again.

I would like to meet a man who has some likes and interests similar to mine, and be willing to teach me about his likes and interests. I don't consider looks important, focusing more on personality, character and intellegence. He should be at least, if not more intellegent/educated than me [which isn't hard to be :-) ], and be able to carry on a somewhat intellegent conversation. He should have a sense of humor and not take himself (or me) too seriously. I would like to meet someone who is patient and willing to take the time to really get to know me. While we should enjoy the time we spend together, it's also important to have our own time apart(e.g., once a week I play Mah Jongg with 4 other women).

I don't know what else I'm looking for, but assume I'll know it when I see it.
