I was born in 1966, raised in Southern California by jewish parents, went to temple frequently, sang in the choir, and learned what it meant to be a Jew. Once I got out of highschool and the house, I lost alot of that. As a parent, I'm re-learning the joys of being jewish.We are big hockey fans, (GO KINGS!!!)and my son plays some, but we enjoy going to Kings games when we can, and Winterhawks games as well.A love (or even like) of hockey is a HUGE plus!!! I'm outgoing and far from shy, very intelligent and proud of it, know the meaning of loyalty, love, and honesty, am a giving person and try to give everyone the benefit of a doubt and not make snap judgements. I have been divorced for almost six years now, and I have two children, a daughter who is 11, and a son who is 15. I have many hobbies, and enjoy learning new things and seeing new places. I tend to be a bit of a couch potato, but an active person can easily persuade me to get out more and try new things. I work out a couple times a week, and try to tend to my appearance, but I'm not a JAP, and I am not a materialistic girl. I think its more important that I'm healthy and a good parent and person than to spend ridiculous amounts of time on my outward appearance. I do prefer casual clothes, but when I need to shine, I'm told I clean up beautifully! I live in Sherwood, and we really like it here, but if the right man came along and it required that we move, I'd be willing to consider it. I hope to find him here in the Pacific Northwest however!! There are many facets to me, and I'm happy to share all of them. My bestfriend, a confidante, a lover, a man who knows the meaning of true love, loyalty, honesty, and working through obstacles instead of walking away. A man who has a sense of humor and can laugh at himself and life when needed. A man who knows how to be communicative and share his thoughts, feelings, dreams and fears. A man who can appreciate a good woman when she comes along. A man who is stable, both emotionally and financially. A job is a requirement, not a hobby! A man who is not afraid to be sensitive and show his emotions is a positive as well. Good body hygiene and care in appearance is somewhat of a necessity, and I do the same. He must be close to family, but not a major mommy's boy. While this sounds like a grocery list instead of what I'm looking for in a man, I'm learning that you better state what you want upfront to avoid miscommunications down the road. Of course all of this is open to discussion and if you have some of these qualities, but not all, that's perfectly okay, please feel free to email me anyhow. I am not perfection, nor do I expect it. But the more we have in common, and the more we meet each others needs, the better down the road.
