About Me
As you read this I am off to Beijing for a year of recovery and discovery. That doesn't mean that I don't want you to write. I do. What a wonderful opportunity to share life. Friends tell me that I am so brave to be heading to China for a year. The way I look at it, once given the opportunity, not going wasn't an option. The door opened and I walked through it. Is that brave? I am recovering from both a surprise ending to a 29 year marriage and the death of my father just months later. The wonderful thing - I'm doing great. I am a happy person who has decided to see how adversity can make me stronger, braver, smarter, and wiser. I am a loving and caring friend. In return I have discovered just how loving and caring my friends can be when I really needed them. I love to dance, watch offbeat movies, read and discuss books, write and learn new things. My two grown children are the light of my life. Judaism is a part of my spiritual life (Don't mean to sound too "Santa Fe") but mostly serves my need for community.
