About Me
I am a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys meeting people and helping others. Judaism is a strong part of my life. Spending time with family and friends is important to me.
I am a widow with 2 children, ages 19 and 14.
My interests are reading, crocheting, singing, exercising, writing, reading Torah, teaching both adults and children, attending enrichment classes, organizing and uncluttering (a constantly uphill climb!), meeting new people, and enjoying my kids.
I participate in an egalitarian synagogue, where I read Torah and lead daavening. I find great fulfillment in taking an active part of services in the synagogue, and find difficulty making peace with the Orthodox position on women. However, I am strong and firm with keeping Kosher and Shabbat observance. I may be looking for a denomination of Judaism that doesn't exist at the present time, but I can't deny who I am and what I'm all about.
