I'm a simple girl...I love the country and anything having to do with country.
My real passion in life is photography, writing and horses, and I'm going to school at the Walter Cronkie School of Journalism and Mass Communication at ASU Downtown. I am a photojournalism major, and next semester I'm taking 4 journalism classes and I can't wait. I shoot with a Canon Rebel T1i and it's my prized possession. I love it. I refuse to use anything other than a Canon.
I eventually want to write for a horse magazine of some sort. Possibly Bit and Bridle or an AQHA magazine or rodeo.
I love rodeo. I go to rodeos every chance I get. My favorite events are the bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding. I also follow the PBR religiously. My favorite riders are Austin Meier, Ben Jones and J.B. Mauney. My favorite bulls are the amazing Bushwacker, I'm a Gangster, Perfect Poison, Voodoo Child and Code Blue. I am one of the biggest advocates for animal rights that I know, and it really bothers me when people try to tell me that these animals are abused...because they're not. They're treated better than most animals. Some of those bulls are worth more than a house...if you have any questions...I'd be more than happy to explain things to you. =].
I'm planning on going to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas for my 21st birthday. The last 2 days are on my birthday and the day after, and I can't wait. I tell people that I'm going to Vegas for my 21st and they smile and tell me how it's awesome that I'm going to go and get super drunk, but I don't drink to get drunk. I'll have a beer every once in a while, or a mixed drink, but I don't drink to get smashed. I have more self-worth than that. I'm going to Vegas for the rodeo. =].
I basically only listen to country music...everything else kind of seems like garbage to me. I love Brad Paisley, Justin Moore, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and more.
I'm not afraid to do a hard day's work, and I'm not afraid to be who I am. I'm outgoing, fierce and stand up for what I believe in. I'm extremely intelligent and have very strong opinions.
I don't got to temple a lot, but when I do, I really enjoy it. I'm more of a spiritual person than a religious person, I think and I think of Judaism as more of a culture.
I love my family and they mean everything to me.
I love being outdoors and being cooped up inside really depresses me.
I was born in South Florida, but I hate it there. I then moved to Colorado, which I still consider to be my home. I don't really like Arizona. I live downtown, and I'm definitely not a city girl. I like it more up in the Cave Creek area. I know that as soon as I'm done with school, I'm going to move back to my home town of Colorado Springs. It's the greatest place I've ever been.
I love animals. Horses, dogs...pretty much anything. There's something uniquely special about the bond between man and horse. They are much more than just animals. I know horses that are both smarter and have better personalities than people. And I've always said that the best way to a girl's heart is with a dog.
My friends are very important to me, and I am one of the most loyal and trustworthy people you will ever meet. I hate lying and I try to avoid it at all costs. I've been lied to too many times in my life to but another person through that.
I work at Sea Life Arizona as an associate in the back of the aquarium. I answer questions about the animals and give talks, etc. I've become stupidly attached to those fish, and they're pretty much like my kids. Even they have personalities.
I'm not one of those girls who has to be around people all the time. I'm very independent and like to do things on my own, but I'm getting to the point in my life where I would like to share the things I love with another person. I guess that's most stuff about me. I'm looking for a man who will treat me right. Someone who will treat me like I deserve to be treated. I've been hurt, lied to, and used in the past and I'm really looking for someone who I enjoy being around, and who enjoys being around me.
Preferably, we would have the same interests, but I'm pretty open-minded as long as you are, too.
It's really important to me that my partner be intelligent. You don't have to be a rocket scientist, but please be able to hold a conversation with me. I love debating things.
He has to like being outdoors and animals. They're such a huge part of my life. You don't have to be a cowboy (although if you are, or you know anything about horses or rodeo, you get MAD points), but at least be open to learning.
He has to respect and love his family, since my family is so important to me.
