2/4/2012 8:25:00 PM	I have been told by friends that I am a honest, warm and caring person. My family and friends are a very important part of my life. I have a great 21 year old son that lives with me full time with whom I enjoy spending time. I grew up in a traditional home and became modern orthodox about 25 years ago. Some of the things that I enjoy in my life are going out for coffee, dinner, playing tennis, bike riding, going to the movies, the theater (specifically seeing a Broadway show in NYC) and concerts. I enjoy traveling and visiting Shuls and Jewish neighborhoods in different cities. I also try to make time to exercise a few days a week. You may find me hiking on the trails or relaxing on the beach with a good book. I enjoy being outside on a nice day and going for long walks especially on Shabbos. I love listening to various kinds of music especially if it is someone I know playing the keyboards, piano or guitar. I have a deep pride, love of and commitment to Judaism. I am on the board of my Shul and a very active member in Shul activities. I am Shomer Shabbat and Shomer Kashruth. I will eat out vegetarian only when I attend business meetings. I enjoy cooking and entertaining in my home. My typical Shabbos table usually consists of at least 15 - 25 people, lots of singing and of course plenty of food to eat. I always have extra room at my table for someone who may not have somewhere to go for a Shabbos meal. I have a great group of friends with whom I enjoy spending Shabbos. One of the things that I enjoy is helping others. I am always available for my family and friends to lend a helping hand or listen to them when they need someone to talk to. Overall, I am a very easy going person who is spiritual, confident and grounded and have a zest for life.
2/1/2012 2:10:00 PM	My name is Michael, I am 65 years old. I am jewish non religious, but i am proud of and honor my heritage! I have lived more than half of my life outside of the U.S. I was a merchant seaman. I bought and sold antiques in Europe and did many other things that I enjoyed doing to earn a living. I sincerely believe that you cannot judge a person's intelligence by their academic level because academia is only related to the specific studies of a specific trade or skill. Intelligence to me is a vast level of instincts and knowledge that come from the gift of ability and life experiences. Through my abilities to express myself with people I have met, I was offered many jobs and positions that only people with high academic levels would get. I had the natural ability to do those things better than other people: Like working for a newspaper in England and other things that come from a natural gift to do things in a unique way. I have found few people in my life's experiences that really know what is going on around them. When you are not arrogant, but really have an ability to know and analyze things properly, it is frustrating to be around millions and millions of people that can't comprehend things as they really are. This might sound arrogant of me to say, but then we were all born from a force that we do not know of. And that gave us the ability or lack of ability to really know and not opinionize and be able to judge things around us. This is why I have never found comfort in any long standing relationship with a woman. Not because of petty arguments or selfishness on my part, but not being able to share the real inner beliefs and feelings about what is going on around us. Even though at this late age I am very pessimistic about people in general, I still would like to believe that there are persons, in this case a woman, that is genuinly looking for the same type of situation.

Good books (I'm a reader), good conversation, good times, the Great Outdoors (maybe a bike ride), these are a few of my favorite things. My goal is to find a nice Jewish girl to "click" with.

I am not afraid to get dirty and explore the unknown. I like to surround myself with positive people who live in the moment and enjoys the simple things in life...carefree personality is a must. People call me caring and giving and I just like to talk to social. I am willing to try some things, but not everything. Sometimes like to take chances to get what, but never comprise who I am. I love learning and teaching, helping others, and bringing new possibilities into others' perspectives. I'm a Ba'alat Teshuva, and started learning almost 7 years ago. Became Orthodox 4 years ago. I connect a lot with Chassidut, but my hashgafah is a bit more Modern.

I was raised yeshivish/chassidish (ultra ortohdox) but became a relaxed with observance when I began experiencing what I can only call (for now) God Phenomena after relocating to Anchorage around 10 years ago from Brooklyn, New York. I am an only child and my parents are retired teachers, my father, a rabbi.
11/4/2011 12:28:00 PM	Yes, yes, I'm a goyeh...look - I'm an old East Coaster. I'm going batty from being away from Jewish Culture! Ok, yes, and dating those in the culture ;) I'm a good egg, lived a life before the one I have now, and am getting to the point that my friends are realizing I'm getting a little lonely. I'm hiding behind my studies and work. A little scared, maybe, to try a relationship again, yes? Yes. Sigh. Maybe it would be nice to share a meal. A movie. Letters. Maybe make each other laugh a bit too loud at a coffeehouse. Maybe even hold hands once in a while. I'm divorced and have one child out of the nest (she's 19) and another sharing nests (he's 6). I love my job at a local television station, I love the program I'm in at school - aiming for a dual degree, but will be happy with just the Bachelor of Science, with hopes to move into a MS and even PhD one day. I'm days away from 41, and am constantly told I don't look it. I'm a former indie filmmaker with some awards and such behind me. Had a few articles published, been on stage a few times, sold some paintings and photos...done a good bit of a lot, and now in my new decade focusing all that interdiscipinarily into a functional degree and career. I'm humbly amazed I got anything right! I'm a great mom, a funny girl, and a very intelligent woman. I like down-time alone for a stretch and then the deep, loud, laugh starts to boil and double and it's gotta get out with friends over buffets and Dina Martina. While I actually enjoy my singledom (and have been for four years with an occasional lapse into a date now and then), the company of an adult one-to-one would be very nice. I actually have a decent background in relationships, many lasting as long-term friendships, or amended connections if things ended awkwardly. And yes, their wives/husbands/partners know we're friends and I respect their feelings should they make rules. I despise drama and do my best to walk away from it should it try to rear up. In life: I fuck up, a lot. I often laugh at it, a lot. Once in a while, some tears. Then, I get up and try again, change something, and/or learn from it. Do you? I like to go out and have adventures with friends or family such as hiking or hanging out at the beach. Rollerblading is my favorite past-time next to model kit building.
