9/6/2010 2:28:00 AM	I started to worked my way north from NYC in 1966 and found myself here by 1971. Involved in radical politics and alternative living in my 20's, married and motherhood in my 30's and 40's, divorced by 50. So what does a mature child of the '60's do now? Log on to a computer singles website? Well, here goes.. I'm still socially/politically involved, and have spent many years involved in creating and maintaining food co-operatives. Community is very important to me. I've evolved into a country woman, raising animals and organic gardening. I like to try and do things for myself and so I dabble (I'm definitely not a pro)in car maintainence, home repair, wood working. I love to read, fiction and non, + still like NY Times and New Yorker after all these years. I enjoy various kinds of music, love get togethers with friends and neighbors, and really like being out in the woods walking and taking photos.
9/4/2010 11:52:00 PM	I have a varied background of professions but finally have ended up with one that I love in medicine. I have a few family members close by me who make my life very full but I would like to find someone to make my life complete. My proudest achievement is the upcoming marriage of my brother because I am the one who introduced him to his future bride! I grew up kosher Jewish but that was a long time ago. I avoid pork items these days but not much else. I rarely attend shul but that may change since I do sense something missing in my world.

8/30/2010 4:04:00 PM	I am looking for someone whose intelligence stems from the heart, who has a sense of humor, makes healthy life choices for himself and his family, is environmentally conscious, and loves animals. This would be a good beginning :) A full head of hair is a major plus! On a more serious note, ethics, compassion, generosity and tolerance are non-negotiable musts. And finally, what matters for you or me, is a best friend, someone who makes me/you want to never stop trying to be a better person. Note: I was born Jewish. I respect many faiths, but I cannot honestly say that I know there is a god or that there is not. I just don't know either way... I feel spiritual at humbling times while looking at the wonders of the natural world through a camera lens or at moments in life when everything falls into place and I feel deeply connected to the world around me. 8/24/2010 9:23:00 PM	It has been said that the difference between a smart person and a wise person is that a smart person knows what to say, while a wise person knows whether or not to say it. I'm still not as wise as I'd like to be, but I keep working at it! I'm semi-retired now, after spending many years in my own marketing business. I've done a lot of traveling, but there are still places I'd like to visit and some places I'd like to re-visit. I'm a one-woman kinda guy; any relationship I've ever had has been long and meaningful. I'm very affectionate, I listen well and I'm considerate. I'm active and I work out regularly in order to stay strong, slender and healthy. My friends and family would say that I'm intelligent, funny, faithful and honest. Contrary to what seems to be expected of Jewish men, I'm an incurable DIYer; I really enjoy repairing stuff, but no, I'm NOT looking for someone with a lot of stuff to fix!

8/13/2010 7:36:00 PM	I moved from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2001, and then to Boca Raton in 2008. I am intelligent, funny, have extensive business and financial experience, and a GREAT sense of humor (Don't ask my kids). I enjoy a variety of entertainments and activities, discussions, challenges, bridge, singing, live entertainment, movies, and many other things, and especially, cruises, travel and sightseeing. I have fun singing and like piano bars, but have my suspicions that I should sing more quietly. I am open and honest, and love long conversations on many topics.. I am somewhat conservative, socially religiously and politically, have a 'different' sense of humor, joke a lot, pun a little (OK, so I am not totally perfect). I have a few web sites, mostly as a hobby, but some business. I have 3 exceptional children, and 7 grandchhildren (Including TRIPLETS!!!!). If we converse I am sure I will brag… er tell you .. more about my kids. My career was in securities analysis, financial analysis, and computers. After retiring I worked in Florida for a few years as a small business consultant, but recently bought a business in Boca (the Broadway Palace), to keep me busy. In Chicago I was involved in several organizations and boards, however I have not been as active in the community in Florida. I occasionally attend political, charitable, or social group meetings. While I have a strong Jewish background, I am only a little religious. I did better with my kids than myself. All keep kosher; one is a Rabbi, and another a Doctor, and the third currently directing A synagogue youth program.while he decides on career direction and grad school. (Graduated JTS and Columbia with high honors, Phi Beta Kappa.)

I live in brooklyn. sheepshead bay. but I am always in the city as well. or I get in my car and drive somewhere.. i moved to NY about 8 years ago from miami fl. i have alot of family in NY but my parents still live in miami. i like ny but want to find someone to share the romanice this city has. or explore it from time to time if we dont get to the city that often. lets see what else. to write.. oh i went to college at the univ of cincinnati. graduated in 2001 Im looking for a lasting and meaningfull relationship something that will grow into marriage and a family. I am not into games or anything like that.. I just want to find my soul mate or best frined plus and be happy all the time. I am also so tired of the whole bar and club scene. in terms oh how you can meet somewhere there or not at all.. just seems to difficult and not fun. i would rather go as a couple or with friends then trying to talk to someone to get to know them at bar u know...here are some things i like doing for fun: I like to go for walks around the city, sit in a coffee shop talk about whatever people watch. go to museums, shows, see movies, cuddle up and watch TV or be a lazy bum on the weekends sometimes. in all im a great caring guy with a huge heart that just wants someone to share it with and get to know better.. i like to laugh, cry sometimes i will drop anything to be with or help out the person i care about the most.. i guess the rest you will just have to find out from meeting me and talking more.. i hope you like what you read so far.. ttyl keep in touch michael

7/30/2010 12:08:00 PM	I'm a thoughtful and caring person. I enjoy reading, learning new things, being active and playing sports. I am kind of relaxed at this point in terms of religious observance but I think about judaism and spirituality and I enjoy learning and studying jewish text. I am currently working and I also plan on going back to school in the fall. I have many interests and I'm deciding on a career that's a good fit for me that will be fulfilling spiritually as well as financially.

7/21/2010 12:17:00 PM	"50 IS THE NEW 40" I look & feel 10 years younger. Hmm; how does one go about writing an essay about himself..... First let me say that every day is a gift ... now, let's see I am single, sweet and sincere (I do not believe in head games and neither should you!!) most of all I am nice, respectful and always a gentlemen, never married "Zero Baggage" (REALLY!!!). Raised with strong family values which I still follow to this day. Proud and loving uncle to 7 (4 nephews & and 3 nieces) Enjoy all sports, ("Oh! What a shock!!") My favorite teams are the Jets, Mets, Rangers, Knicks (in that order!!). Enjoy old time movies & current ones. (Bonus points for guessing my all time favorite) Bike rides to the beach during the summer, long romantic car rides to someplace special with that someone special for the day or weekend and the great outdoors I am a blood donor and I am on the national registry list as a bone marrow donor. I also didn't get a one hour tv special to announce my decision to the world. I'm also not amazing at basketball, but not terrible either. I am a very funny, loyal, and caring person. Truthfully!

7/3/2010 11:16:00 AM	I am happy & don't mind being alone! But "lonely" does pop up here & there. I love to try new: activities, foods, places... My Jewish community is small & I am fairly active. There just aren't any singles here. I sing in the choir and chant Torah on Yom Kippur. I bake one of the best challahs you may ever taste. My signature item is rugelah. People have been known to push and shove getting to a table when they see my desserts. Another side is involvement in the martial arts. It's been a family thing. It takes focus and dedication. I am proud of what I have accomplished and it has led me to understand myself and what I want in my life. Or, at least know what I don't want. I also recognize that I would not be the person I am today if I had not changed. Everyone can make life better. It's combining that with another person that I look for. We're not getting younger. Take a chance? Besides me, my son is 24 & getting married this fall & my daughter is 26 & beginning grad school in North Carolina in August. I have been divorced too long to remember!
7/1/2010 11:52:00 AM	Before you start reading my profile there is a mistake as to my birthday so I have changed it. I'm really 73 years young and my photos are current and NOT from 20 years ago! Age is simply a number to me anyhow! Soooo, if my age is a problem for you, no problem for me. I am in great shape physically and mentally and exercise 4 times a week. To me, age is a number. I'm very down-to-earth and very sensuous with a great sense of humor. I enjoy touching and being touched and am outgoing and easy to be with. I always try to make the best of most situations and consider the glass half full rather than half empty. I have great friends and a wonderful family. I have 3 grown sons I raised on my own, and 7 terrific grandchildren. Love dogs but don't have one at this time. Have had several very different occupations including galley girl on a commercial fishing boat, movie location scout, sales rep, airline ticket agent and several others. I am very upbeat and have a positive attitude.I'm a good communicator and a better listener. I'm 5'4" tall, have blue eyes shapely and healthy.I try to walk 2 miles every day and work out at least twice a week. I am very spontaneous and my friends laugh at me because I always say "I have clean underwear and my toothbrush in my purse, and ready to travel in a heartbeat". Actually, I laugh at myself, which is easy for me to do. I was raised Jewish, but am not religious. I believe the good things in life are there for the taking. Holding hands, sensuous kisses (and I don't even mind kissing in public, PDA), and hugs are wonderful. For me rainy days can be cozy and romantic. I have some old fashioned standards with regards to relationships such as honesty, trust, etc. I do believe in attraction at first sight, but I feel that love grows with time.I am very open about my feelings and hope my partner will be also. Relationships need communication. Neither one of us will have a crystal ball to know what the other is feeling or thinking! I prefer jeans and t-shirts and boots, but clean up well for any occasion. Even though I am a grown woman, there is still a kid inside of me at times. It isn't what you are doing, but who you are doing it with. Even cooking dinner or doing dishes together can be fun! I love outdoor activities, spectator sports, flea markets, movies, dancing, music (all kinds except for rap and heavy metal), camping, fishing, walking, traveling, theater, plays, musicals, board games and small intimate gatherings. I have been divorced for quite a while and I left all my baggage at the airport.

I am always in touch with my Jewishness, yet don't know which way to go with all the labels... I guess you could call me a basic Jew. I love to live life, be with my family and friends, make people happy and enjoy everything around me.

I love country/western music and would love to meet someone who would like to dance with me.. after all.. in the words of John Michael Montgomery "LIFE's a DANCE". Would you like to dance with me? After some very stern lessons in dance.. I went from a bumbling idiot on the 2step dance floor to a guy that could do just about anything. I can do more than just the 2step but that's for starters. Hard to meet any nice Jewish women who like to do the c/w thang... wish I knew why. I do like to do other things including traveling and exploring, seeing new things and going places I've never been. I can just sit back and chill and talk, listen to music and get to know one another or hang out with our friends and relax or go have some fun. I would love to experience a bunch of stuff from movies to lots of other things with that special someone.. my former dance partner used to say.. "Ron, you need to be able to do it all alone".. well I have and it's gotten old. I'm looking to share life's experiences with that special someone. I'm from MI but I'm a cowboy at heart. She also used to tell me she wished everyone could get to know me how she did to understand and see the real me as she often thought I was simply misunderstood.. LOL.. who isn't these days?! What I mean by "bars" above.. is that I like to go c/w dancing.. not hanging out in a meat market... but I don't mind being social either. I'm a very caring guy, a gentleman, my mom inspired me in many different ways. She was to blame LOL for my influence in liking country music.. now there's a fun story to tell. I tend to put on my mp3 player (armband)on when I go walking, hit a mall, go shopping .. I listen to a great variety of music which not only entertains me but it puts me in another world.. walking.. becomes nothing but great exercise.

I've lived in North Carolina my entire life and am what you call a true southern jew. I am active in the Hillel on campus and when I am not working (which is all the time) i go to services. I love my Jewish community even though it is very small. I love to meet new people every day and get to know them to the best of my ability. I believe that everyone has a good side and have the ability to be a good person. I love pink, parties, and fun haha! oh! and skiing!!! haha boarders suck... just for the record haha.
