I am close to my family and friends and enjoy spending time with them. I am hoping to have a family of my own some day. I enjoy playing and watching sports but I am overly obsessed by either. I prefer to be casual but it is fun to live life sometimes. I enjoy the outdoors and love the beach. I enjoy celebrating jewish traditions and holidays. I love traveling to Israel and I have been three times but I would also be just as happy relaxing on a caribbean island or camping out on the mountains. I'm my own individual with many varied interests especially my love of making things from nothing such as building two speed boats from boat-kits (one is still in use) and a mountain house that I designed and partially built myself (in a lttle place called White Lake- Bethel, NY - just 2 miles from the origianl Woodstock Rock Festival site). To me, age is a number. I'm very down-to-earth and very sensuous with a great sense of humor. I enjoy touching and being touched and am outgoing and easy to be with. I always try to make the best of most situations and consider the glass half full rather than half empty. I have great friends and a wonderful family. I have 3 grown sons I raised on my own, and 7 terrific grandchildren. Love dogs but don't have one at this time. Have had several very different occupations including galley girl on a commercial fishing boat, movie location scout, sales rep, airline ticket agent and several others. I am very upbeat and have a positive attitude.I'm a good communicator and a better listener. I'm 5'4" tall, have blue eyes shapely and healthy.I try to walk 2 miles every day and work out at least twice a week. I am very spontaneous and my friends laugh at me because I always say "I have clean underwear and a toothbrush in my purse, and ready to travel in a heartbeat". Actually, I laugh at myself, which is easy for me to do. I was raised Jewish, but am not religious. I believe the good things in life are there for the taking. Holding hands, sensuous kisses (and I don't even mind kissing in public, PDA), and hugs are wonderful. For me rainy days can be cozy and romantic. I have some old fashioned standards with regards to relationships such as honesty, trust, etc. I do believe in attraction at first sight, but I feel that love grows with time.I am very open about my feelings and hope my partner will be also. Relationships need communication. Neither one of us will have a crystal ball to know what the other is feeling or thinking! I prefer jeans and t-shirts and boots, but clean up well for any occasion. Even though I am a grown woman, there is still a kid inside of me at times. It isn't what you are doing, but who you are doing it with. Even cooking dinner or doing dishes together can be fun! I love outdoor activities, spectator sports, flea markets, movies, dancing, music (all kinds except for rap and heavy metal), camping, fishing, walking, traveling, theater, plays, musicals, board games and small intimate gatherings. I have been divorced for quite a while and I left all my baggage at the airport.

5/5/2012 6:54:00 PM	I enjoy going to comedy clubs, dining out, movies, and concerts. I am low maintenance and don't require a lot. I'm not into the finer things in lfe, but that is probably because I've never had it. Life has always been a struggle, but it sure would be nice to be able to enjoy life a little at my age. I love my children more than life itself, so family is extremely important to me. Having a great sense of humor is number one on my list. He has to be kind, caring and respectful of my feelings and I of his. I would hope we could talk about anything. I want to find someone who I can have a lot of fun with. I do not like liars or macho men who think they are "all that". Looks are not what makes up a person. I will go out of my way to do for others. I love my dog Charley. I am a big fan of the Detroit Tigers. Although I am not religious, I am proud to be Jewish and enjoy all the Jewish holidays. I like all kinds of music from oldies to country to rock and roll.

4/21/2012 3:48:00 PM	I like to stay busy, much of the time square dancing or attending egalitarin services at a Conservative shul of which I am a member. I also enjoy going to Jewish cultural activities,programs of Jewish interest and celebrating the Jewish holidays as well as occasional bike riding, rowing, and attending outdoor arts and crafts fairs,street festivals, and outdoor concerts.
4/18/2012 7:51:00 PM	Despite my initial shyness and hesitancy to approach the new, my family and friends (I've never been the type to have a lot of friends, but rather a small group of really close ones that I consider to be family as well) will vouch that once I've warmed up to a new person, I am EXTREMELY loyal, easy to talk to, blatantly honest, fun to be around, and always willing to give a helping hand. I'm sure that my parents and little sister will disagree, but I like to think of myself as not controlling, simple, and laid back. When I think of my family, I am reminded of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," but instead of being Greek my family is Jewish :D We are loud, in each others business all the time, and I wouldn't change it for anything!!! I LOVE animals!!! Back home, the dogs run the house. My dog's name is Shiloh, she is a Beagle (of course). I wish I could have brought her up here to college with me, but my apartment doesn't allow pets and it would be unfair to her (she is used to having at least 2 other dogs with her at all times as well as being in a house big enough for her to sprint in).

I went to a Jewish Day School until the 3rd grade and public school after my family moved to a very non-religious part of Orlando, FL in 1989. I began my journey to become a Baal Teshuvah in 1998, when I spent six weeks studying in Jerusalem with Aish HaTorah. In 2006, I moved to South Florida to partake in a larger Jewish community at the Chabad of Coral Springs When it comes to my development of my religious status I do not designate myself with only one following. I consider myself Modern Orthodox, with appreciation Chassidic philosophies. To develop myself both academically and spiritually, I recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Touro College South, where I studied Business Management with a concentration in Accounting and Judaic Studies. I currently learn each week with a Chavrusa and with the Rabbonim at the synagogue where I regularly attend services.

4/5/2012 10:00:00 PM	My name is Michael, I am 65 years old. I am jewish non religious, but i am proud of and honor my heritage! I have lived more than half of my life outside of the U.S. I was a merchant seaman. I bought and sold antiques in Europe and did many other things that I enjoyed doing to earn a living. I sincerely believe that you cannot judge a person's intelligence by their academic level because academia is only related to the specific studies of a specific trade or skill. Intelligence to me is a vast level of instincts and knowledge that come from the gift of ability and life experiences. Through my abilities to express myself with people I have met, I was offered many jobs and positions that only people with high academic levels would get. I had the natural ability to do those things better than other people: Like working for a newspaper in England and other things that come from a natural gift to do things in a unique way. I have found few people in my life's experiences that really know what is going on around them. When you are not arrogant, but really have an ability to know and analyze things properly, it is frustrating to be around millions and millions of people that can't comprehend things as they really are. This might sound arrogant of me to say, but then we were all born from a force that we do not know of. And that gave us the ability or lack of ability to really know and not opinionize and be able to judge things around us. This is why I have never found comfort in any long standing relationship with a woman. Not because of petty arguments or selfishness on my part, but not being able to share the real inner beliefs and feelings about what is going on around us. Even though at this late age I am very pessimistic about people in general, I still would like to believe that there are persons, in this case a woman, that is genuinly looking for the same type of situation.

2/26/2012 12:10:00 PM	Satisfied and happy where I am! But I'd love to find a special person to fill in the lonely space. I always enjoy new activities, foods, places... My Jewish community is small & I am fairly active. I sing in the choir & chant Torah on Yom Kippur. I bake - signature items are rugelah & challah. People take dessert 1st when we have a get-together. A different part of my life is involvement in the martial arts. It's been a family thing. It takes focus and dedication. I am proud of what I have accomplished and it has led me to understand myself and what I want in my life. Or, at least know what I don't want. I also recognize that I would not be the person I am today if I had not changed. Everyone can make life better. It's combining that with another person that I look for. We're not getting younger. Take a chance? I have 1 married son and they have a new daughter. My daughter is finishing grad school in May. I have been divorced too long to remember or care :>)

That being said, I'm interested in meeting a genuine, nice guy--but given my history lol, I have to be honest with myself and admit that I am usually attracted to those bad boy type guys so my type of guy def needs to have an edge to him. I'm not looking for a clingy guy, I def need a guy who enjoys his alone time...I know it sounds nuts but there are guys like this that exist! Right now I am working 2 jobs and going to grad school and my free time is pretty limited; however I know the hard work will pay off.I'm looking for someone who can understand that my goals are important to me and is willing to help me achieve them. I am a very loyal, trusting, one man type of woman-- I don't believe in cheating and am extremely family oriented. I'd love to meet a man with the same family values as me.
