| 3/8/2010 8:24:00 AM | Sentenced to living death by divorce and the children will not be Jewish. Cruel and grotesque punishment, I've had enough of it. They want to put me in prison surrounded by genetically challenged men. Only a woman can save me by marrying me and having a Jewish baby. Please don't respond if you are a scornful divorced woman. Please keep kosher and have no pets. I'm the best dad I ever knew. A lot of evil people spent a lot of money to make sure I would never recover monetarily, I'm self sufficient and know how to on a daily bases and over the course of decades please a woman. I know how to love. I made a lot of money doing what I was great at and liked to do for the right woman I can be inspired to make it again otherwise I don't give a |
| 3/7/2010 7:22:00 PM | I need a friend. I want to share the best part of myself and the best part of a gentleman. At this time I am disabled but starting to walk again with the help of a physical therapist. YAY I am not ethnocentric but miss the company of a Jewish gentleman. I live in a small town and may be the token Jew here. :) I have some friends here but something missing. Similar background may be the answer. |
| 3/6/2010 6:36:00 PM | I grew up in Miami Beach where the majority of the population is jewish. I now live in central Fl. where I am a very small minority. I miss friends who are either jewish or from New York (NE) who are familiar with the culture, foods, and quick humor. I am a gourmet cook, love crusing, travel, great company & conversation. I love to entertain, I am a great hostess but my speciality is small romantic dinners. I have 3 little dogs, 2 maltese and poodle. They are great company but don't fill the void in my life. I was very physically active until a slip & fall accident left me "slightly" limited physically. I no longer play golf or tennis and only slow dancing is my current speed. If you are looking for a work out or golf partner, I am afraid that is no longer me. I would love to cheer you on or drive your golf cart. I write poetry, I am sensitive loving and very loyal. My husband was my best friend, lover and business partner and I miss that kind of close relationship. I don't play games and feel that life is to short to be angry. I miss the company of a man who is fun, honest, sincere and caring. My husband died of cancer 7 years ago and I believe that life is meant to be shared or else you are merely existing. I would love to find someone to share special moments with. |
| 3/6/2010 6:33:00 PM | I am a great good guy with a big heart I live by the golden rule love yourself as you do your neighbor I am funny at times and I do funny things (stuff) I am a musician whom is quiet talented in Jewish folk lore I play the Excelciola accordion |
| 3/4/2010 10:47:00 PM | Adventurous, athletic, high energy, romantic, spiritual, honest, faithful, sensual, successful, stable, a menche. I'd describe myself as energetic, upbeat and introspective. I am an adventurer and enjoy the outdoors with all kind of activities and am a bit of a fitness nut. I do a lot of bicycling, hiking, kayaking and rock climbing in the summer, and cross country skiing in the winter. I enjoy dancing and am looking for a ballroom dancing partner to learn with. My home hobbies include pottery and cooking. Spiritually, I meditate daily and hope to integrate this practice with a more Jewish path. I also appreciate downtime with romantic cuddling, good food, music, friends and family. I am hopeful for the future and enjoy life. I work from home at a successful business doing engineering & marketing to an international market. |
| 3/4/2010 5:50:00 PM | Hello all you wonderful Jewish men out there. I am looking for you! (ok, maybe only one of you.) I'm a single girl, you're a single guy, we should date! Is there really more to it? Ok, fine! What kind of girl? I am Modern Orthodox, raised by parents who are the same. I am shomeret shabbat and kashrut. No, I don't always speak with a Sephardi accent, don't be scared all you Ashkenazi-speaking guys out there. I love my job as a paramedic, even if I am not so crazy at times with where I work. Medicine fascinates me. I would like to start a family with the right person, raising my children to ask questions always and think for themselves. I love camping, hiking and traveling. |
| 3/1/2010 12:31:00 AM | If I had to pick one word to describe myself, it would be eclectic. I have many interests in life and enjoy a number of different activities. Art and music are high on my list. But I also enjoy the theater, sailing, walking, movies, and just spending time with family and friends. I have met many of the goals set out in earlier years including travels to Europe, Israel, Mexico, Canada and numerous places in the U.S., but still planning to do more traveling. I am at the point in my life, where I am ready to share my life with that "someone special"... So I guess you could say, I am looking for my beshert. I am not the most religious person, but I do identify strongly with my Jewish heritage. I am a second generation Holocaust Survivor, with both my parents coming from Germany. Overall, I would say that I am highly spiritual, and on a path of trying to learn more. I have spent the last 30 + years in the health care industry. I am both a Psych. Nurse and a wholistic health care practitioner. Will tell you more about that later. I have never been married, but have two wonderful nephews, both of whom I love, as if they were my own. I also have my chihuahua, Chico, who is the current love of my life. |
| 3/1/2010 12:29:00 AM | Easy going laid back Jewish male that is looking to meet the right woman to share a life together with. I enjoy reading, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, hanging out with my dog, working on DIY projects, riding my motorcycles, traveling and many other things. |
| 2/24/2010 11:39:00 PM | I am recently separated from a man who never really knew me. I look forward to eventually being known . I am a sensitive, caring and nurturing person; yet, I have a bit of a wild streak. I am a community theater actress, as well as a mom. I am into photography, art in all forms, psychology, Jewish studies, new age philosophies, and of course, Shakespeare - both reading and performing. I also love to do Karaoke. For those interested in Myers-Briggs, I am an interesting case. I vacillate between ENFP and INFP, which means that sometimes I get energized talking to new people and being a part of the crowd, and other times I like to escape the party to read a good book. It just depends on which day you catch me! |
| 2/22/2010 8:40:00 AM | "50 IS THE NEW 40" I look & feel 10 years younger. Hmm; how does one go about writing an essay about himself..... First let me say that every day is a gift ... now, let's see I am single, sweet and sincere (I do not believe in head games and neither should you!!) most of all I am nice, respectful and always a gentlemen, never married "Zero Baggage" (REALLY!!!). Raised with strong family values which I still follow to this day. Proud and loving uncle to 7 (4 nephews & and 3 nieces) Enjoy all sports, ("Oh! What a shock!!") My favorite teams are the Jets, Mets, Rangers, Knicks (in that order!!). Enjoy old time movies & current ones. (Bonus points for guessing my all time favorite) Bike rides to the beach during the summer, long romantic car rides to someplace special with that someone special for the day or weekend and the great outdoors I am a blood donor and I am on the national registry list as a bone marrow donor. (Hope to hear from you!!!)... |
| 2/19/2010 3:38:00 PM | At the level of thought and vibration, where all of life is created, we ARE in the driver's seat...ready for my co-pilot and ready to co-create and enjoy a kind, playful, pleasant, supportive, nurturing relationship with an emotionally, spiritually and physically passionate man...who is a great match to my unique blend of complexity and simplicity, who adores me and graciously accepts my adoration. I teach Law of Attraction classes through meetup; learn more about it at tiny url dot com slash loa-with-honey Eager to know what you know and love about yourself in your brightest moments and willing to be touched to my core by your yearning for more! I am happy, passionate, spiritual, definitely metaphysical, NOT the least religious or traditional! Unusual, intense, enjoy nature, periodic solitude and silence, take me fishing, wildflowering, body surfing, road trips, visiting with 2- and 4-legged friends, adventuring, silly banter AND deep meaningful conversation, personal growth AND growing plants, really good movies, reading (e.g., Law of Attraction by Abraham-Hicks), historical fiction, Deepak Chopra, A Course in Miracles and making a positive difference. Did I mention being deep and intense? The photos of me in the red shirt are most recent (a few years); my hair is a bit shorter now; just started getting grey! I am good to the core, innocent, worthy, creative, humorous, cheerful, courageous, eager, ethical, generous, moral, persistent, versatile, open-minded, tolerant, honest, loyal, patient, willing to do what it takes, and modest! I am absolutely dedicated to spiritual principle and explain my non-traditional Jewishness by saying that I worship no person, no book and no tradition. God is a wholly beneficent activity, organizing intelligence and responsive energy that is primary in my life. I do my best 'praying' while journaling, hiking the forest with the dog, body surfing, petting the cat and hanging out with friends. I have studied many faith traditions, some in depth and glean from them all that which supports my unfolding. Unity/New Thought/metaphysical works and the works of the Abraham-Hicks group are high on my list of favorites. I filter all my ideas, opinions and attitudes through these types of questions, "Is this helpful and harmless?, does this help me remember that all is well, does this help me flow my energy and feel good?'" Most people who feel comfortable with me are on their own spiritual quest...to a passionate seeker I am more than a 'trip'...I am a vacation :-)!!! I can be trusted to tell the truth. I am almost totally free of guilt or shaming ideas and behaviors. |
| 2/18/2010 12:08:00 AM | "Home" is a spectacular island in the middle of the NIAGARA river, five miles above the falls. Mr Right is either in Canada, or ? I like to think I do not fit a mold. Why? I want to be different, and am pleased that I am different from the so called "average" woman. I am athletic, and have a fit gym body. I work out with weights and swim daily. A recent transplant to New York from California. Major change, but a wonderful one. I have several rules. Always have a valid passport. Don't eat food unless it is terrific. LIVE life fully. Mr Right is out there. T^his time he will be Jewish! Single is good. Married and in love is definitely much better. I believe in intense love, passion and adventure. Is this possible at my age? |
| 2/15/2010 6:49:00 PM | My name is Tara and I am a 37 year old single female. I enjoy sports, reading, dancing, and dining out. |
| 2/15/2010 6:48:00 PM | I think "Jewish American Singles" sounds like "Kraft American Singles," are you seeking a soulmate or processed cheese food? If you want both, you may have come to the right profile. (I haven't officially joined yet...just checking stuff out) I'm cute and fit. Ask me for my photo. I'm intelligent, generous, caring, giving, funny and sweet. I'd rather be alone than annoyed. I don't need someone, I want someone who makes my life more fun. In a relationship, you should both really wanna be there, that will make the hard stuff easy and in the end will be what makes you stick together no matter what. (That's my hypothesis, I still have to try and prove it. Help me out?) I like cake. I like it so much that if you don't like cake, I'm likely to think something is wrong with you. I will think "how can someone NOT like this cake?" and "glad I don't have to share my cake," and at the same time, "I feel so lonely, I have no one to enjoy my cake with." So like cake, it's just easier, and if I have to share it, I won't get fat. Everyone wins. I've built global technology networks. I can fix your computer but I don't want to. Bonus points if you can fix your own. This year, I fixed my dryer, my ice maker, and my toilet. I can fix lotsa things, but I'm still a chick. Please be willing to help me move them, and understand I have no idea what I'm doing, but I operate on the "how hard can it be?" premise. Neither of us should be shocked if I destroy something, it hasn't happened yet but I won't say I'm not suprised that it hasn't. ;) I like gerbera daisies. They come in pretty colors. I enjoy a good pun, probably more than the average person. Make me laugh until I'm in pain and I'm ruined. I'm looking for a relationship where both of us really get each other and enjoy each other's company. The chemistry will be maddening and the friendship will last forever. When I say "I'm going to delbocavista" you may say something back like, "Say no to the space pen." Something you should know about me: My parents lost me in the mall when I was a child. I wandered into an electronics store where I was accepted and raised by a pack of synchronized television sets. From time to time, I'll say things like "No Roger, No Rerun, No rent." Or..."Naaaabisco. DING!" Take me or leave me. I just wanna be loved. Is that so wrong? ;) |
| 2/15/2010 6:46:00 PM | My name is Noah, but my friends call me Zaves, and I love working at my summer camp, watching West Wing, and cooking delicious food. I play a few instruments, but Jewish songleading is my favorite. I'm also a semi-professional photographer, and I do some marketing and graphic design on the side. Other likes: C-Span, bright colors, the symphony, my Corolla station wagon, and my adorable dog. Mostly, I'm just down to have fun, and I'm looking forward to meeting some new people! Happy Jewish! |
| 2/15/2010 6:45:00 PM | I am into creativity, be it the visual arts, or playing amateurish bluegrass fiddle, or writing a cookbook replete with pen and ink irreverent drawings for my "Starving Students" sons. I am down to earth, have a smirky sense of humor, and love to go to the movies at the little college theatre that carries the weirder, or foreign films formerly know as "art films". Back in the day, I wished to be a film maker, and actually joined the Union (NABET) while learning to be an assistant editor on what is now known as an "Indie" film in SF CA. It is a career, alas alak, that I never persued in any professional manner. It is up there with the best of 'em (careers I could have persued, that is, but did not) Instead I focussed on my nurturing nature, raising 3 boys. Now, as I empty nestor: I feel the new freedom to explore the rest of my life, more fully. I think it'd be fun to share the adventure. The down side: I have become a bit of a TV addict to shows like Heroes, and House. Lancaster PA is not a hotbed of Jewish Single Men in their 60's dating..even though TV has become a habit, I could break it for the right guy, and don't miss it when I do other more productive things like make the Falafel for our shuls's fundraiser Jewish food festival, or perform with Lancaster County Folk Music and Fiddler's Society at the Landis Farm Museum, or attend urban board meeting about urban gardening for kids. Or just do the dishes, or take out the trash, or read in bed, or listen to the birds in the morning, or rain and thunder, I can be happy and grateful just to be alive, and I can be quiet, or laugh full out or oh just lots of things... Things I would love to do with a new friend: recreational ethnic cooking or eating. Going to a scientific lecture, or with a group on a mild nature hike. Exploring unusual roadside attractions, or going to a place that is new to both of us, and people watching etc. I am not economically high maintenance and can't spell worth a darn...I found a cafe' in Lancaster that has the most unbelievable hot tea, from Africa I think, but it tastes like you are imbibing a garden. I would like to do more meditation and yoga than I do presently. I always have a blast at most Jewish holidays...not just shofar honey'd New Years, yet I don't play a wind instrument, just strings: guitar and fiddle. Something of interest: I am going into the N. Chicago suburbs June 3-9th '07, and would love to make new friends, see a movie, go out to a restaurant. I wish Folk Music was listed on the music list. I grew up in the area, went to New Trier, and have nostalgia comin' out my ears...but I know the place has changed since then. I lived 13 and 1/2 years in San Francisco CA, but I am a dessiduous tree kind of gal, so I don't think I could go back to the West Coast to live, even though I do miss the unbelievably alive counter culture of my youth. I can conceive of living in the Midwest again, traveling anywhere in the world, and also of taking up Mandarin Chinese (at my age!) So maybe that gives you some idea, if not a DOGMA (as in Kevin Smith) |
| 2/15/2010 6:41:00 PM | I am your stereotypical Jewish social worker -- liberal, do-gooder, always asking questions and trying to fix things. I have two children in college and one is a junior in high school. I spend time each week with my 84-year-old father in Pennsylvania, and I have a large extended family that spans all sorts of religious, racial and ethnic bounds. I belong to a chavura that is somewhere between reform and renewal. Mindful living is important to me. |
| 2/15/2010 6:32:00 PM | Iam ambitious,high energy,loyal,honest,proud of my jewish heritage,down to earth. |
| 2/11/2010 1:27:00 PM | I am avery easy going guy, but I live a life with morals. Time has shown me the way, well sort of, right because if I really knew the way I would not be single on this website, looking for someone to hang out with, ok that being said, I am still pretty confident in who I am, and what I believe in. I like all types of people, not that I sleep around, but I have no set paramters for age, hieght, hair color etc., I am a health conscious indivual and do not smoke and neither should you, also I am earth concious, would love to contribute to a better world for our children, and try to do so every day. |
| 2/10/2010 11:05:00 AM | outgoing & funny Jewish Latina! I want to meet people for a long term relationship that could lead to marriage. |
| 2/9/2010 11:35:00 PM | work full time in a demanding career as a COO of a law firm, have two teenage daughters at home, so my free time is precious. I enjoy variety in life and in my career and I'm willing to try new things. Left-handed/right-handed, creative/analytical, somewhat complicated and yet easy to read. I am pretty resourceful in a very creative, problem solving kind of way. Always a new challenge and something to learn fuels my passion. As I was growing up in an italian catholic family, my dad always said lox and bagels were in his future. After almost 18 years of marriage to my Jewish spouse, I converted to Judaism about five years ago. It has been a wonderful journey so far, with studying and becoming a Bat Mitzvah. I make a mean matzoh ball soup and can pull off a Seder without too much trouble. But please don't ask me to catch (haha) or eat gefilte fish. That's where I draw the line. By now, you have gathered that my jewishness is part of my life. But no kashrut please. Doesn't work with my killer baked ziti w/meat sauce. If you are comfortable in your own skin, know what you want, can be a true partner in every way imaginable; emotionally, intellectually, pyschologically, then perhaps we can chat a bit and see how things develop. |
| 2/9/2010 9:46:00 AM | Hello. I am a veterinary technician. I am looking for someone who would like a serious relationship. Life is too short to play games. I am loyal and loving with a good sense of humor. I value friendship as the basis of a relationship. I love Judaism and spirituality is an important part of a relationship to me. I don't go to Shul a lot, but I try to live my Jewish faith actively by treating others with respect and compassion. |
| 2/7/2010 5:10:00 PM | I am looking for a single jewish male age 36-45 for dating relationship, marraige and children. Someone who is intellegent well educated and non smoking as well as attractive and fit. With a great personality and a down to earth attitude. |
| 2/5/2010 3:42:00 PM | Are you that Special Intelligent Guy that looks for inner beauty as I do? I have many girlfriends, fun to be with and enjoy life. I love all animals and have always been involved with charity work. Love children and they seem to have a respect for me too. Have strong feelings about Jewish Traditions and Family. Very trusted. Live my life by ethics and an overall good person and good Neshama (soul). |
| 2/2/2010 10:38:00 AM | I'm just a fun loving girl originally from Massachusetts, but I am currently going to school in Chicago. I am adventurous and I love to try new things, and new cuisines. My friends are my family and I plan to take the city by storm. I'm just a nice Jewish girl whose still a little new to the city and I just want to meet a nice Jewish boy. |
| 2/1/2010 12:17:00 AM | As a single mom, my world revolves around my son. I'm ready to begin sharing that world with someone else. I have been told I'm attractive, but I don't focus on it. You decide. People find me easy to get along with. I don't get off on superficiality, probably why some people think I'm too intense. I am sensitive to others around me, making me very aware of the subtle nuances in my surroundings. I enjoy spending time with the people I care most about. I'd rather spend an intimate evening at home with that special someone than go out partying with a bunch of strangers. I am articulate and creative and treasure that quality in others. You'll always find me indulging in or surrounded by books that explore the human psyche. I love to learn about new people, one at a time. I can be quiet and introspective or lively and energetic when the mood strikes. I am always in pursuit of improvement of body, mind and soul. I'm not there yet, but I'll die trying!! |
