I never know what to put here. I just finished my Masters, I'm currently looking for a job in a public library. I'm a little obsessed with Arrested Development and The Office (British version) and I think that sums up a lot about my personality.
I like to read, but not necessarily the "Great Woks." I guess the phrase is irreverent. I tend to be really irreverant. I can take things seriously, but it's so much more fun when life is one long, never ending smile, don't you think?
I like kids, and I'm surpirsingly good with them, and as such, I want to work as a children's or young adult librarian. I work in the kids section at Borders right now, and there is nothing more satisfying than putting a book in the hands of a child or a parent. Talking to a kid, asking them what they liked about the last book they read, asking if they're familiar with a series other than Harry Potter (though I'm so excited for the seventh book I could spit) is one of the best feelings EVER. Bar none. And then they smile at you. Because they know that they are not just a sale. If they were a sale, I'd be pushing the hard covers that are dreck instead of the paper backs that are wonderful, but I don't. The right book for the right kid at the right time. That's what it's all about.
Um...I don't know. That's pretty much it. I'm not terribly complicated, I'm pretty laid back.
Oh, I don't cling. Like, at all. I can go weeks with out talking to my family, so I'm not the type that will call every day, for the most part.

I'm just looking for someone who's laid back and groovy. Someone that loves what they do, no matter what it is. If you're a chemist, that's awesome, tell me about it even though I will understand nothing that comes out of your mouth. If you're in a job because of the six figure salary...I am so not the girl for you. I'm a librarian. We don't make oodles of money, but we love what we do more than light.
I'm not sure what else to say. Some one laid back, cool and funny, who actually likes his job for reasons that aren't monetary.
Oh, and I don't do well with clingy. Unless something really cool, crazy or awesome happens, there is no reason to call me seven times in one day. Someone better be pregnant or in the hospital to warrant that kind of phone usage.
