i was raised on the beaches of southern california and now live in a destination resort in the mountains of id.
i am relatively active in my local jcc. i didn't have a bat mitzvah as a young girl but i am the only woman in two generations that is embarrassing my jewish heritage. my mother's maiden name is cohen, and growing up even though we didn't have any religion in our house, she would always tell me, "tactically you are a jewish woman because i was born from a jewish woman." i love that i'm jewish and i love being a part of this small jewish community here in id. i really like my life. i grew up in a beautiful place and now i live an amazingly beautiful place. i feel very lucky.
