I'm a contradiction in terms. Some days, I'm shy and introverted, writing, watching TV. Other days I like to connect with people, go to museums, movies, plays, concerts, cheap restaurants. I'm open for a walk or short hike to listen to the leaves rustle and the birds chatter. My favorite vacation is a few days at Starved Rock Lodge in Peru, Illinois. Now I really enjoy long drives with a friend.

I'm looking for someone who would like to share the activities, and I'm sure there are things I missed that I would enjoy doing. While I'm not anticipating anything beyond friend, if something else develops, I won't reject it off hand. I would prefer someone who is not interested foisting political reactionary views on me --the keyword there is FOIST. We all have opinions and I'm interested in connecting with people who can accept differences without harassment. I've always been somewhere in the middle of the political road. However, the road keeps changing and my relative position appears to be significantly to the left of what it did in the 60s. That doesn't make me a leftist, so I don't want to get involved with anyone who would label me as such or as anything else if it comes to that. I'd like to meet someone laid back, funny, well-read, and easily amused. He doesn't have to be perfect and should not expect me to be either.
