I'm a fun-loving, down-to-earth, energetic woman with a serious side. I have a good sense of humor and can be playful, but love intellectual discussions. Politically, I am pretty darn liberal. Religiously, I dip in and out, but I identify and connect with my Judaism in various ways. I love to read, mostly fiction, but I read a veriety of books, magazines, and newspapers. I enjoy going out to movies, restaurants, plays, etc., but am also very happy at home, watching a DVD, or just cozying up. I love to travel when time and money allows, and hope to travel more in the future. But I'm also a homebody. Of course, I value honesty, and openness. I have a teenage daughter, who I am quite devoted to, and my friendships are important to me, as well. I work at a library, and enjoy my job a lot, but sometimes I'd like more of a challenge. I also work freelance as an oral historian. I'm attracted to people with whom I feel a soulful or spiritual connection. This may or may not be apparent right away, but eventually, it reveals itself. And of course, mutual interests are very important, but so is individuality.

I'm looking for a relationship with a man who is smart, warm, and laughs easily, somewhere in his fifties. He's engaged with life, enjoys discussing all sorts of things. He has some interest in the arts, literature, politics, spirituality. He is self-sufficient in the basic ways, and has experience in the world of relationships. I would enjoy meeting a man who has a child or children--or at least has experience with children in his life, or who understands all that is involved in being a parent. I'd like to have a partner to share activities and interests with, but who also has interests of his own. And I imagine a man who really enjoys relationship!
