�Work hard, play hard�? How clich�. I�m more �knock the work out of the park, play like a kid on a sugar high�. It may not have the catchy ring, but it�s heavier on the fun. I�ve walked the Great Wall of China and explored the castles of Scotland, but lately I plan vacations closer to home: gathering the parents, the aunts and uncles, and everyone�s kids for lake house fun in the Ozarks. Since becoming a parent, my favorite adventures include sharing morning cheerios, building sandcastles, and hearing �Daddy, I love you.� For me, summer means swimming at the JCC, walking throughout the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead, riding my bike with daughter in tow, and family vacations in the Pocono�s. I find a kind word for every person I encounter, and I thrive on the community and spiritual connections I find at Temple on Fridays. What I�m best at is loving the people close to me, and romance is a particular passion. I�ll call to let you know I�m thinking of you, surprise you with candlelit dinners, and make you melt with massages. I�ll pay attention to what you need and do what it takes to deliver it. I�ll smile each time you enter the room and every time you cross my mind.

At some point in your life you owned a sleeping bag and weren�t afraid to use it. You shop at Wild Oats, but aren�t above the occasional Taco Bell fix. You treat your boss�s boss and the cashier at the Hen House with the same easygoing respect. You think too much make-up looks ridiculous and don�t see anything trite about the phrase �true beauty comes from within.� You value the simple pleasures of family and a committed relationship. You love your kids (if you have them) above all else, you can�t help but love my daughter as your own, and you think about having more. You go down the slide and you sing along. You know the coolest jazz club and the most amazing dance troupe to check out, but you�re always open to new ideas. You can accept and deliver a sincere apology. You can find humor in almost any situation, and you help the people you love in times when laughing it off just won�t cut it. You get a kick out of my parents, and think it�s as cool as I do that they�ve been married over forty years. You think we could make it at least that long.
