I'm tired of being single! My life is only 1/2 fulfilled--I love my work, but you don't meet many men teaching elementary school! I don't hang out in bars, never seem to meet anyone at the club (could be that it's hard to strike up a conversation with someone who's underwater...), and it seems like everyone I know is married (except me, of course). So, here I am. Where are you? What you might want to know: I grew up in California but I'm a rain person at heart, so I couldn't stay. Had to find a place with more gray skies, lots of trees, and good coffee. Been here eight years. I love skiing, camping, exploring, swimming, anything on the water, the symphony, quirky coffee shops, used book stores, all kids under 12, puzzles and board games,rock hunting (yeah, really--I'm easily entertained), fireplaces, toasting marshmallows, family gatherings, good restaurants, and trying things I haven't tried. Music? I like everything from The Beatles to Queen and all of that 80's stuff, Mozart to John Denver (don't laugh), Schumann to Enya. I play the piano and have sold a lot of my artwork (I draw). I'd love to travel, learn to snorkel/scuba dive/sail, and think wine tasting is pretty cool. I'm not really shy at all, though I've never been very good at making first moves. My friends and family say I'm funny, easy-going, compassionate, insightful and really creative. My students say I'm their favorite teacher and that I'm all-around wonderful--(eight-year-olds are great for the ego!)

YOU! I figure, if you read all of the above and are still reading, we must have a thing or two in common... I'm really looking for someone who is outgoing, kind-hearted, intelligent, loves children, and who is Jewish in practice, not theory (meaning you have a Jewish life to some degree and like the idea of attending synagogue more often than the High Holidays demand). My Prince Charming is fun to be around, has some common interests (but doesn't feel the need to do "everything" together or be glued at the hip), thinks family is important and enjoys his own, and is sure of what he wants in the future. (If you're the one, that future includes a wife you look forward to seeing every night and that you only love more and more as you grow old and wrinkly together AND a couple of wonderful children that make all the headaches they produce unquestionably worth it!)
